Let It Snow, Winter White
As the holidays draw near it has started to snow. I love winter white--a blanket of pure cleanliness. It has a calming effect on me. Maybe that is why winter whites and creams are my favorite colors. Here is a display of some beautiful whites. I want to wish all of you a happy holiday season. Thank you for your support and continuing to follow me on my blogging journey. Next year, we will be updating the site for easier access and much more content. Until then, I'll hope you all are dreaming of big white snowflakes! My Very Best to You and Yours, Joanne

New Store! Vintage Inspired Antiques and Collectibles
I love seeing new locations opening up that have not only antiques but things that are retro, funky and made from salvage material. This store, Vintage Inspired Antiques & Collectibles, owned by Mary Heinrich Aloi, has all sorts of fun stuff and lots of dealers. The vintage plaid skirt my sister is wearing in the previous blog posting is from there as well as the board I used to make the DIY Network, Joy Sign. My sister just bought a fun vintage white wool jacket and I have my eye on a great bench. If you are in the Burlington, Vermont area, you should head on down to 180 Flynn Avenue and take a peek. My best, Joanne

Vintage Plaid Making a Come Back!
I thought that my twin sister, Rosanne, and I were single handledly (or should I say double handedly) bringing back the vintage plaid skirt style -- but I see that we're not the only people who love it! Vintage fabrics, blankets, plaids and stripes, evoke some amazing memories for me -- growing up -- my semester abroad in England, my love for all things Irish-including my fisherman wood sweater I bought in a London flea market in 1987, which must have already been 30 years old then! Blankets to curl up with near the fire. What are some of your favorite plaid memories?'

A fewTalented Architects/Designers who work with Salvage Material
There are so many amazing architects and designers out there -- I love just being wowed by their imagination. I find that those who use salvage material really go above and beyond because they take risks with the unknown and understand the importance of the past. I'll keep listing some of really cool ones I come across -- a few at a time!
