I SPY...Virtual Shopping for Recycled and Vintage Goods

I spend a lot of time checking out my local salvage and second hand shops, and when I'm traveling, I find more, but when I can't get out of the house, I'm sure to see what is out there via the Internet. I love playing the I SPY game looking for cool things.  Here are a few of my wish list items...just in case you are wondering :)  The web is truly a cornucopia  of recycled and salvaged products waiting to be discovered--so have fun and search away.
My Best, Joanne

I know I can't drag this home from London but I have always been in love with vintage Chesterfield Sofas. Don't ask me why -- maybe an old movie I saw in my youth?  Ebay is a great place to browse for vintage goods around the world.

I've always wanted to do something with recycled steel drums. Looks like Sundance bet me to it. Which is okay because Robert Redford is amazing (and really adorable). Love this decorative bowl made from a steel drum with all the words left right on it!

Anthropologie really knows how to style and create products-- including this chandelier made from recycled Encyclopedia pages. I knew those books would come in useful somehow!

Okay, this is how I feel most of the time in my house. Really! Am I the only one who sees the dishes in the sink? This vintage 1950's sign at Rejuvenation should be hanging in my kitchen!

Vintage Fabric on Paper Hill Fabrics on Etsy.  I can see how a vintage textile addiction can be formed. Love it. Hope I can use it in a project very soon :) Etsy, another one of my favorite places to see what people are creating and finding. Really talented artists as well as cool vintage and recycled finds.

Love these storage jars made from recycled glass.  West Elm has some very cool recycled stuff. Just type in recycled or reclaimed in the search box on their site and you see what they have! As soon as I redo my pantry, these babies will be lining the shelves!
