At the United Maine Craftsmens Fair near Gray, Maine, I spied these cool wool balls from Spinnakees Farm. I know they are getting ready to be spun but I loved the look them just they way they are!
Saw these at Portland Architectural Salvage in downtown Portland, Maine.
I took them home, along with some blankets! Can't wait to show you wait I'm doing with them.
On the Table Creative Coasters at the Craft Show were very cool. I bought a set that had photography by Ashley Wainwright on them! I love how they display them in vintage drawers.
Vintage textiles is a weakness of mine. This booth was one of my favorites at the craft fair. Old Bagzz are made from old blankets, clothes, fabrics, you name it!
The Owner, Designer and Sewer, Pam LeBlanc. I had her model the bag I bought.
A trip to Maine is not complete with some lobster and clams!
Heading home on Route 302 we saw this shop. I shouted "Stop!" and we did :)
In a pile, in a tent, on the ground, was a rusty saw -- actually five -- and I bought four at a garage sale the day before. Can't wait to show you what I'm going to do with them.
Buckbeak? Is this a real Hippogriff? It is amazing what you will find at an antique shop on Route 302.
This white leather mid-century chair goes with nothing in my house but I WANT IT! I hope it is gone by the time I get back to Portland Architectural Salvage, then I don't have to make any big decisions. Maybe I should call and have it set aside... Back home with lots of great memories with friends and a trunk full of salvaged goods including seven rusty hand saws. My Best, Joanne
