Traveling through Italy! Hiking, Markets, Antiques and More!

Italy! What a trip. Here I am in Positano enjoy the views of the coast!

My twin sister (middle) arranged the whole trip for Gabrielle's 13th birthday!  What a great auntie!

Swimming in the ocean to find old tiles washing up on the beach -- can you say -- AWESOME! I think they placed them there for me.
Of course, we had to check out the antique shops!

The Walk of the Gods -- to amazing for words!

Love the contrast from old to new -- it was everywhere in Italy!

My daughter and her aunt Rosie (or Zia Rosa in Italy) walking the streets of Rome arm in arm -- I love it!

I loved all the freaky door knockers and brackets.

Beautiful. Historic. Graceful.

You can't make up this coloring -- the vintage green is stunning.

The freshest food (self-serve deli) and the most amazing wine ever.

Other people who love to recycle. This shop is in Pienza (Tuscany). Raffaella Zurlo rocks!

Under the Tuscany Sun is a real thing -- it is spellbinding!

Seriously, how weird am I? At a Tuscan Saturday market and a booth was selling used clothes so instead of just looking at the tables like normal people, I ask if I can see what else they have in the van. Goes to show that in any country I can figure out the cool spots!

More food and wine.  At a local farm where they served all their own food -- trying to keep it local no matter where I go.

My twin sister (left) and I are having fun with the scarecrows throughout a hill town in Tuscany.

No matter where we went Gabrielle made a new friend.

A vintage tablecloth and tray -- Italian style.

Flea market in Venice -- love it!

In Burano, Venice, Gabrielle found a very small yard sale run by a six year old. She picked a Murano glass elephant for one euro -- that's my gal!

Vintage Murano Glass light -- beautiful.  Just like the whole trip.

We meet some amazing people along the way and stayed in the greatest (and affordable places) thanks to my sister Rosanne who planned the whole thing. Soon I'll add links to all the places we stayed so you can check them out yourself.
 Until then -- Ciao! Joanne
